Registration details for Members of 2008 Conference, including their accommodation requirements, will be gathered using an “on line system” through the internet.  This process will be facilitated by “agents” for each membership group who will also enter details for those Representatives who do not have internet access or are unsure about its use.

Synod Secretaries will act as the agents for District Representatives, including chairs, and Team Members from the Conference, Formation in Ministry, and World Church offices will act in this capacity for other membership groups.

The registration process will cover the following groups:

• Full Members of Conference,
• Associate Members of Conference,
• Ordinands and their immediate families as defined in the information booklet already published.
• Members of the Secretariat Team not included in the above categories,
• Members of the Connexional Team attending Conference in an official capacity and not included above,
• Members of the Conference Arrangements Team

There is no other registration process required for attending the Conference although ministers attending the Ministerial Session “at their own expense” must seek the approval of their synod to do so.

In general, the sessions of Conference are open to anyone who wishes to attend and no tickets or badges are required for access to the visitors’ section of seating.  However if Conference elects to go into “closed session” visitors will be asked to leave. The only predetermined closed sessions take place at the end of day.

There are two Conference sessions for which a badge or a ticket are required to gain access to the main Conference hall.  These are the Opening Session of the Conference, which takes place in the afternoon of Saturday 5 July and the Conference Worship and Reception into Full Connexion, which takes place on the morning of Sunday 6 July.  Details of the ticketing arrangements for these sessions appear elsewhere on the website.

The Conference Arrangements Team (CAT) will book and pay for the bed and breakfast accommodation for all those who have registered under the categories set out above.  Currently rooms have been reserved in over 20 hotels to meet this need and the allocation to hotels will take place by the end of February.  In making the allocation the CAT is mindful of the need to keep groups together wherever possible.  Details of the allocation will appear on the registration system.

At present there is no shortage of double/twin rooms in the reserved hotels and Representatives may request such rooms to share with guests who are not members of conference.  Representatives will be invoiced for the additional cost.

We regret that the CAT cannot make accommodation arrangements for anyone not included in the above groups.
