Representative Session

The main part of the Conference starts with the formal opening at 2.30pm on Saturday afternoon.

Representatives and visitors gather to see the induction of the new President and Vice President. The ceremonial nature of this session is complemented by an address by the new President.

The following morning at 10.30am the representatives are joined by Ordinands and their  families for Sunday Worship. This session is marked out by ordinands taking to the stage to be 'received into full connexion'. From there they disperse to a number of venues around the region for the formal laying on of hands in the ordination services.

The main business sessions of the Conference start on Monday morning at 9am. Reports are presented and time is given for discussion and debate of the wide range of matters brought before the representatives. You can read the business schedule for 2010 here.

Amongst the business are important votes for the appointment of the President and Vice President designate as well as Conference Elected representatives for the coming years.

The session is adjourned after members of the Conference have shared communion and the stationing of ministers has been approved.
